Ground Floor
Ground Floor: Where Community Happens
Northstowe's Living Room
The ground floor is designed as Northstowe's living room. Walk in off Stirling Road and you find a large community hall that splits into three independent rooms — yoga classes in one, a youth coding session next door, a community meal at the far end. All at the same time. A cafeteria with views of the green. A reception that welcomes everyone.

The Mandir Wing
The Mandir Wing
"The Mandir represents 21% of the building — a dedicated, consecrated space for Hindu worship, open also to Jain, Buddhist and Sikh communities who share common prayer practices. It is connected to the Hub by a linking passage, ensuring acoustic separation so a birthday party in the main hall never disturbs quiet prayer next door. The Mandir has its own entrance, its own facilities, and its own kitchen for Prasad preparation. It is a place of stillness inside a building full of life."

Location & Setting
By the Lake, By Design
"Hindu temples have historically been built near water — not by coincidence, but because water represents calm, renewal, and reflection. The site sits beside Bughunter Waters lake. For the whole community — of any faith or none — this means a building that opens toward nature, encourages outdoor wellbeing, and creates a genuine civic landmark that Northstowe can be proud of for generations."
Lakeside Setting
The building opens toward Bughunter Waters, connecting indoor community life with the natural landscape.
Public Paths on All Boundaries
Footpaths run along every boundary, keeping the site open and accessible to all who pass through.
No Fencing
No fencing so the site flows into the town — a seamless part of Northstowe's public realm.
